With over 19 years of litigation experience, Kelly knows what it takes to secure the best possible outcome for her clients.
She concentrates her practice on the defense of medical malpractice matters. Kelly has a special interest in dental and oral surgery defense having tried well over a dozen dental malpractice cases to verdict. She is admitted in New York, Connecticut and the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Federal Districts.
Kelly joined the firm after a long and successful career as a trial attorney downstate before relocating to Delmar, N.Y. in July, 2015. For much of her career she has defended doctors and dentists in medical malpractice litigation while employed at law firms in New York City and on Long Island. She began her legal career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department’s Office of the Corporation Counsel in the Medical Malpractice Unit. There she represented Brooklyn NYC owned hospitals and facilities and tried her first medical malpractice case to verdict in 2000.
Kelly has given many lectures and participated in many risk management seminars for doctors and dentists. She also taught legal research and writing courses for paralegals as an adjunct professor at the New York Career Institute in New York. In July 2015, Kelly moved from Long Island, N.Y. with her husband, Artie Magnuson and their four children. When not at work, Kelly is often found enjoying the many Racetracks in the Northeast as her husband is a Thoroughbred horse trainer with his main barn located in Saratoga, NY.
